I am now completely finished with graduate school at the Royal Tampa Academy of Dramatic Tricks. That means, once the final paper is graded, I will have a dual degree – an MBA and a master’s in marketing. This is quite an accomplishment, but, frankly, I’m not as excited as I should be.
For one thing, I have already participated in commencement — the ceremony in which I get to wear a black muumuu and walk across a stage. Because there is no commencement in the fall, I did this in the spring. So the pomp and circumstance part of graduation was over several months ago.
For another, my upcoming surgery is foremost in my mind these days. I’m preoccupied by it. So I haven’t had much time to reflect on anything else.
In case you’re wondering, once the final numbers are tallied, I expect to have a 3.7 GPA. I worked pretty darn hard for that.
Here’s a picture from commencement. That’s the university president on the right and the Complementary Spouse in the middle.
